Minamoto Yoshitsune tribute coming soon

Once again I'm posting a preview before the release. Deep in the forges under Hanzo castle a new beauty is being born. Leather tsuka-ito, small dynamic tsuba, best yet habaki with lord Minamoto's mon engraved. The sageo is sculpted for the first time as well as the kashira part. The saya is made out of wood with dual coloring possibility - beautiful color combos will be there for you to play with. Same scripting as the Shingens, as we got some very good feedback for it, the Yoshitsune will most likely be even a bit faster.

This one is definitely coming before christmass and if we're lucky enough it might not be the only new blade by then :) Won't say more, keep tuned.

Aki lantern

It might look simple, but there's quite a lot of work behind this little lamp. It's sculpted, thus only 4 prims light, beautifully textured piece of solid work. Not only is it very decorative for a low primcount and copiable so that you can fill your garden with them, it's very clever as well!

You can control the lantern by clicking on it, switching it on and off, and setting the period of the day it will shine. So that you can make your lamps shine only during the night or day-only or both night and day. The lamp tracks the simulator time for this purpose. Not only you can fully control single lamp - when you rezz twenty of them, they know about each other and work in a network. So that you can quiclky set the scene by just a couple of clicks. And these features work sim-wide.

Doesn't look so simple anymore, does it? :) xStreetSL link.

Shingens at v1.2

While the first update adressed a color bug we missed and was not concerning the functionality of the weapon, the situation was different with the 1.2... We've been contacted by numerous customers telling us that their RP rules didn't allow meelee weapons to rezz bullets and shields. We've taken care of the problem in the automatic update, changing the functionality of the setup/damage menu. There are now two options available: "RP" when no bullets are rezzed and the shield is absent, playing just the animation, and "Combat" which works as usual.

I sure hope you find this update useful, and enjoy some heavy combats in your RP.

Shingens are ready!

Today we've rolled them out. It's the best we've done so far. They're dual of course, you can choose the mount, you can modify them in many ways. HUD equipped, with gestures at last. Compiled under mono, with auto updater. Nothing to wait for, they're the ultimate choice. SLX link here.

CCS problems

I have run into a very inconvenient situation last night. All the actual versions of the Hanzo swords were banned in CCS. As I understand it might be pressing affair for some, let me explain.

We were using the 2.0 CCS API provided to us by the CCS developers in all our blades. It turned out that the armor damage enhancing feature we were using wasn't behaving according to the documentation - even though we were assured we can use it without a problem. We found out just a couple of days ago and were working on a new release to solve this issue. Tonight I was contacted, told that our swords are unbalanced and causing trouble to the CCS RP and after a short discussion between Kahiro and one of the CCS people I was announced that all our blades using the 2.0 api were banned instantly.

You can imagine what came next. Frankly, I wasn't aware that our swords were that popular at all. It's pretty pleasing, on the other hand, I've never seen IM's from different ppl coming in 20second intervals for a couple of hours, until today that is :) Not having slept much, we were working on a solution to the situation. Which is as follows:

1. We're discontinuing our support for CCS. All our new blades will come just LL damage enabled, or (if we consider it fit) will use and be tuned for another combat system.

2. The existent CCS swords have been updated to 1.7 version. It's without any enhacements, just a plain CCS meelee stick. The updates are available for free in the mainstore (you get just the updated CCS blade, the other parts are working allright). At least this will allow the users that bought the swords mainly for the CCS usage to continue using them within CCS.

3. We've brutally cut our prices on existent weapons and are preparing for some new releases. Check yourself - 200-350 on combat versions and 100-150 on the decors... where else would you get something like this?

You can belive me I'm as disappointed as you are with the situation, and I can assure you we will keep up the work we've been doing so far. Peace on Earth!
